Who the Level 2 Interior Systems NVQ (Access Flooring) is for

The Access Flooring pathway is for installers who already fit raised access floors in offices, data centres and other commercial buildings, and want formal recognition of that work. Employers can use it to qualify existing flooring installation teams.

Delivery Method

Work-based NVQ assessed through an online e-portfolio. There is no classroom attendance, no day release and no written exam, and support from your assessor can be remote, face to face or a mix of both.

Duration

Many learners complete in around 4 to 8 weeks, depending on their experience, availability and how quickly evidence is gathered. You can also work through it at your own pace.

Course Content

Your evidence covers setting out and levelling pedestals, installing stringers and floor panels, and cutting around services and edges, alongside working safely and productively on site.

Assessment

• An induction after enrolment reviews your current experience and knowledge
• Evidence comes from work you already do, such as site photos, completed jobs, RAMS, site diaries and work logs
• Professional discussion with your assessor
• Observation on site, or through video and photo evidence
• Witness testimonies from supervisors or colleagues

Certification

ProQual Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Interior Systems (Access Flooring pathway), a nationally recognised qualification awarded once your portfolio has been completed and verified. Qualification number 603/0292/6.
