This Level 7 NVQ is for senior leaders and decision-makers in construction who already hold strategic or leadership responsibilities. It suits managing directors, operations, construction and regional directors, business owners, heads of department, senior managers and executive leaders, and employers who want to qualify their senior staff.

What the Level 7 NVQ in Strategic Management and Leadership involves

Delivery Method

NVQ – assessed in the workplace. There are no classroom sessions, no day release and no written exams. Evidence from your day-to-day leadership work goes into an electronic portfolio from the office, site or home, and your assessor reviews it remotely, with support remotely, face to face or as a blend.

Course Duration

Many learners finish in 4–8 weeks, depending on their experience, availability and evidence. A fast-track option is available and you can progress at your own pace.

Course Content

The qualification covers strategic leadership of an organisation: developing business strategy and plans, monitoring organisational performance, leading change, managing financial and commercial information, leading and developing people, and driving improvement projects. Your assessor confirms the unit combination with you at induction.

Awarded by ProQual (qualification number 601/4760/X) – a nationally recognised Level 7 NVQ Diploma.

Prerequisites
