Delivery Method

NVQ – you build an electronic portfolio from your normal roofing jobs, supported remotely, in person or both. There is no classroom attendance, day release or written exam.

Course Duration

Typically around 4 to 8 weeks depending on experience and evidence, though you can take it at your own pace.

Course Content

The Roof Slater and Tiler pathway covers advanced pitched roofing in both materials: setting out, fixing slates and a range of tile types, forming ridges, hips, valleys and abutment details, working at height safely and delivering a weathertight finish.

Assessment

• An induction to assess your current experience
• Evidence such as site photos, completed jobs, RAMS and site diaries
• Professional discussion and on-site observation
• Photo or video evidence and witness testimonies

Certification

ProQual Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Roofing Occupations (qualification number 603/7178/X). The package includes a CITB test and CSCS card support, with the card application handled for you after certification.
