Duty to Manage Asbestos

Duty to Manage Asbestos courses are designed for individuals responsible for managing asbestos in non-domestic buildings, such as property owners, managers, and supervisors. These courses provide the knowledge and skills needed to comply with legal obligations under the Control of Asbestos Regulations. Participants learn how to assess asbestos risks, implement management plans, conduct surveys, and ensure safe handling of asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) to protect occupants and workers from exposure. Completing this course ensures that managers can effectively reduce asbestos hazards and maintain regulatory compliance.

This umbrella range covers duty-holder training across providers — for the accredited route see IATP Duty to Manage Asbestos. Professional building management is covered by BOHS P405, and surveys by BOHS P402. Related: Asbestos Risk Assessment. See the full Asbestos Awareness & Management range.
