Who the Level 2 Accessing Operations and Rigging NVQ is for

This NVQ is for people who already work at height in access and rigging roles, such as scaffolding, rigging, steeplejacking and lightning protection, and want their competence formally recognised. Employers can also use it to qualify existing teams and keep their site workforce compliant.

What the Level 2 Accessing Operations and Rigging NVQ involves

Delivery Method

Work-based NVQ with no written test or exam. A qualified assessor guides you through the process using examples from your own job, with support given remotely or face to face.

Duration

There is no fixed length. Experienced candidates can fast-track the NVQ, or take longer so it fits around work.

Course Content

Your evidence shows your competence in erecting and dismantling access structures, using fall protection systems and following health and safety procedures while working at height.

Assessment

• Professional discussion with your assessor
• Observation on site, or through video and photo evidence
• Work-based evidence such as RAMS, job logs and site diaries
• Witness statements from supervisors or colleagues

Certification

ProQual Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Accessing Operations and Rigging (Construction), awarded once your portfolio has been completed and verified. Qualification number 610/4275/4.

Is there an exam for the Level 2 Accessing Operations and Rigging NVQ?
