The Qualsafe Level 2 Award in Safe Moving and Handling (RQF) is a nationally recognised health and safety qualification designed for anyone who carries out manual handling tasks as part of their role. It provides essential knowledge and practical skills to reduce the risk of injury and promote safer working practices in the workplace.
This one-day course combines theory with practical training, enabling learners to understand the risks associated with manual handling and apply safe lifting techniques in real workplace scenarios. Delegates will learn how to assess risks, identify hazards, and use correct manual handling techniques when lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or moving loads both individually and as part of a team.

Assessment and Certification
Learners are assessed through a combination of practical demonstrations and a multiple-choice exam. Successful candidates receive a Qualsafe-accredited Level 2 certificate valid for three years.
Course Duration
This is a one-day course, typically delivered over 6–7 hours of guided learning including practical activities.
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements, although learners should have a basic understanding of English and be physically able to participate in practical lifting activities.
