Construction Health and Safety Awareness Training in Rainham
The CITB Health and Safety Awareness course is designed for people who are about to start work, or have recently started work, in the construction industry. It provides an essential introduction to site health, safety, welfare and environmental responsibilities.
This one-day course helps learners understand common construction site hazards, how risks are controlled, and what action should be taken when unsafe conditions are identified. It is also suitable for delegates preparing for the CITB Health, Safety and Environment test as part of the process of applying for a CSCS card.

Course Duration
The CITB Health and Safety Awareness course is delivered over one day.
Assessment
Delegates are expected to participate during the course and complete a multiple-choice assessment at the end of the training.
The assessment normally consists of 25 multiple-choice questions completed within 30 minutes.
Certification
Successful delegates are awarded the CITB Construction Site Operatives Safety Certificate.
The certificate is valid for five years. To remain up to date, delegates will need to retake the course once the certificate expires.
Entry Requirements
Delegates should have a suitable level of English to understand the course content and complete the assessment. The course is designed as an introductory qualification and is suitable for a range of ability levels.
Progression
After completing the CITB Health and Safety Awareness course, learners may progress to further construction safety training such as the Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme for those moving into supervisory roles.
