CITB Health and Safety Awareness (HSA)

This one-day CITB Health and Safety Awareness course is delivered in a classroom at Clay Cross, Derbyshire, S45 9JW. It is the entry-level course in the CITB Site Safety Plus suite and a recognised route towards the CSCS Green Labourer Card.

Who is the HSA Course Suitable For?

Those who have entered, or are about to enter, the construction and civil engineering industry. It can also be used as preparation for the CITB Health, Safety and Environment test, or as refresher training. The only entry requirement is a good understanding of spoken and written English.

• How everyone can help achieve better standards of safety on site
• Legal requirements and liabilities
• Working at height
• Manual handling
• Fire prevention
• Work equipment and occupational health

Assessment

The course is delivered through case studies, group work and discussion. Candidates are continuously assessed and must complete a multiple-choice test.

Certification

Successful delegates receive a CITB Site Safety Plus certificate.

Short online courses also help employers to demonstrate that they have fulfilled their legal duties to ensure their personnel have been adequately trained.

Once the courses have been completed, a confirmation of results can be saved or printed as evidence. This can then be kept on record as evidence of suitable training.
