Instructor-Led CITB SSSTS Course Online
The CITB Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) is the recognised health and safety qualification for supervisors, foremen and gangers on UK construction sites. It is aimed at those with supervisory responsibility rather than overall site control.
Delivery Method
This course is delivered live online over Microsoft Teams by a qualified tutor. It is not self-paced e-learning — delegates attend scheduled sessions and participate in real time. You will need a laptop or PC with a working webcam and microphone, and a stable internet connection.

Course Content
- The supervisor's role and legal responsibilities
- Risk assessments and method statements in practice
- Toolbox talks, briefings and effective communication
- Site inspections and monitoring
- Common site hazards including working at height and excavations
- Accident reporting and investigation
Assessment and Certification
Assessment is by written examination and a core knowledge test. Successful delegates receive a CITB Site Safety Plus SSSTS certificate valid for five years, renewable by the one-day SSSTS Refresher before expiry. The certificate is identical to the one issued for classroom delivery.

For accredited courses a certificate will be sent directly to you from the appropriate awarding body.
All you need to complete our e-learning courses is a computer, tablet or smartphone, an internet connection and Zoom.
To attend a remote online course delegates must have access to a computer, laptop, tablet or phone that uses a microphone and webcam.

E-learning is flexible, efficient, and cost-effective, meaning you can progress through the modules at your own pace, at your own time to fit the training in around your work and personal life.
Short online courses also help employers to demonstrate that they have fulfilled their legal duties to ensure their personnel have been adequately trained.
Once the courses have been completed, a confirmation of results can be saved or printed as evidence. This can then be kept on record as evidence of suitable training.
