The CITB Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) is the two-day course for supervisors and those about to take on supervisory duties on site. It is delivered live online by an instructor, so delegates can attend from anywhere in the UK without travelling to a training centre.
Who attends?
SSSTS is aimed at people who have, or are preparing to take on, supervisory responsibilities in construction. It is particularly suitable for site supervisors, team leaders, foremen and anyone responsible for overseeing workers and making sure work is carried out safely.
Pre-requisites
Delegates should have a good standard of spoken and written English so they can follow the course materials, take part in discussions and complete the assessments. Previous health and safety training is helpful but is not normally essential.
The aim of the course
The course gives supervisors the knowledge and confidence to contribute to the safe management of construction activities. It helps delegates:

What you will take away
By the end of the course, delegates should have a greater understanding of how to:

Certification
Delegates who successfully complete the course and assessment receive the CITB Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) certificate, valid for five years. To maintain the qualification, delegates should complete the SSSTS Refresher course before their existing certificate expires.

To attend a remote online course delegates must have access to a computer, laptop, tablet or phone that uses a microphone and webcam.

Short online courses also help employers to demonstrate that they have fulfilled their legal duties to ensure their personnel have been adequately trained.
Once the courses have been completed, a confirmation of results can be saved or printed as evidence. This can then be kept on record as evidence of suitable training.
