IOSH Working Safely in Coalville, Leicestershire (Classroom)

IOSH Working Safely is a one-day course for employees at any level, in any sector, covering their own responsibilities for health and safety rather than managing others.

This course is delivered in a classroom in Coalville, Leicestershire.

What it covers

Four modules: why working safely matters, identifying and controlling hazards and risks, understanding common workplace hazards, and improving safety performance. It meets the government's guidelines for introductory health and safety training.

Who it is for

New starters and workers from any sector needing a grounding in health and safety. There are no entry requirements and no previous knowledge is assumed.

Certification

Assessment is by multiple choice questions and a hazard spotting exercise. Successful delegates receive an IOSH Working Safely certificate. It has no formal expiry, though IOSH recommends refreshing every three years.

After completing the course, learners can order their certificate directly from the provider.

To join online courses, delegates have to log in via a link provided through a computer or laptop with a camera, screen, microphone and access to the internet.

E-learning and Online (Instructor-led) training is more flexible, efficient, and cost-effective.

Short online courses also help employers to demonstrate that they have fulfilled their legal duties to ensure their personnel have been adequately trained.

Once the courses have been completed, a confirmation of results can be saved or printed as evidence. This can then be kept on record as evidence of suitable training.
