CITB Health & Safety Awareness Course for Construction Operatives
The CITB Health & Safety Awareness course provides essential training for anyone starting work in construction or civil engineering. It delivers a clear understanding of the most common site hazards and explains how to work safely while protecting yourself and others in the workplace.
This course covers key health, safety, welfare and environmental topics, including legal responsibilities, risk awareness and employer duties. It also helps delegates understand what actions to take if they believe health and safety is being compromised on site, supporting a stronger safety culture across all levels of construction work.
Training is delivered through instructor-led classroom learning supported by presentations and a multiple-choice assessment. The course is suitable for all experience levels and is often a required step for those applying for the CSCS Labourer (Green Card).
