IOSH Working Safely Course for Workplace Health & Safety Awareness
The IOSH Working Safely course is an entry-level health and safety programme designed for employees across all industries. It provides a practical introduction to workplace safety, helping learners understand common hazards, assess risks and adopt safe working practices to reduce incidents and improve overall safety performance.
This one-day course delivers essential knowledge in a clear, engaging and jargon-free format, making it ideal for individuals with little or no previous health and safety experience. It supports organisations in meeting UK health and safety guidelines while promoting a proactive safety culture in the workplace.
Training is delivered through classroom-based presentations and interactive discussions, followed by a multiple-choice assessment and hazard-spotting exercise. Key topics include understanding hazards and risks, identifying common workplace dangers such as fire, manual handling and slips or trips, and improving safety performance through effective systems, communication and personal responsibility.
The course also introduces environmental awareness, encouraging learners to consider how their actions impact waste, pollution and sustainability within the workplace.

Certification Upon Completion
Successful delegates will receive an IOSH Working Safely certificate, a globally recognised qualification. While the certificate does not expire, refresher training is recommended every three years to keep knowledge current and aligned with best practice.
