This CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme course runs at the PGL Midlands centre in Kirkby in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, a short drive from junction 27 of the M1 and convenient for delegates across the East Midlands.

Assessment

A multiple-choice examination, plus assessment of your contribution to the group exercises run across the week. Both must be completed successfully to gain the certificate.

Certification

Successful delegates receive the CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme certificate, valid for five years.

Renewal

The two-day SMSTS Refresher must be completed before the certificate expires — let it lapse and the full five days has to be retaken. Compare SMSTS Refresher dates across Nottinghamshire.

Good to Know

SMSTS does not by itself award a Black CSCS card. It can, however, count as recognised prior learning towards the NVQ that leads to a Black or Gold card. CITB-registered employers may be able to claim the CITB Short Course Grant against this course — worth checking your CITB account before booking.
